Poor | I’ve been coming to you for the past 2 to 3 years with stomach pains and what I thought was vaginal bleeding. I said I wasn’t sure if it was from the vagina or back passage. Each time you sent me to the hospital for gynaecology scans and biopsy. The last time I went the nurses said, “what are you doing here again, you were here six months ago”. It made me feel quite embarrassed and as if I was wasting their time.
Then when things didn’t improve I visited you again and was given vaginal pessaries… again the doctor just seemed to want to get me out off the chair.
They made no difference so I stopped taking them.
Recently I had diarrhea, pains and fever and was given antibiotics. I was poorly again when I had finished the course. This time the doctor gave me Lansaprozol. I took it for four days. The doctor said I needed to take it for longer. I started it again on Sunday and have taken it for four days. I’ve had diarrhea since Monday morning and am now in bed feeling very poorly.
I am due to go on holiday and have been told by the insurers, because you haven’t diagnosed what’s wrong with me, they won’t insure me!
| The doctors that kept sending me for gynaecology tests could have looked at other causes of my symptoms.
The last doctor recently took two days to write the referal letter, which he did reluctantly following my request to see a gastroenterology specialist. I have not been told how long that will take to come through. Just because the blood tests and FIT tests came back negative, clearly pain and bleeding from the back passage isn’t normal!
I’m going to stop taking the Lansaprozol again as clearly it doesn’t suit me. I never take medication of any kind, unless it is absolutely necessary…. my experience with Lansaprozol is exactly why… I’ve never had 3 days of constant dioreah before.
